It's so funny seeing people complain "BONES animated a blue sky" because... THAT'S ALWAYS BEEN A THING?!

I'm gonna sound salty and you're entitled to have your opinion but whenever there is some big battle in BNHA, IT'S A BLUE SKY.

And to me, it works because ANYTHING BAD CAN HAPPEN ON A SUNNY DAY.

Hell, maybe that's the point! THE IRONY THAT A WAR STARTS WITH A BRIGHT BLUE SKY ☀!!

You see a bright blue sky, you think of hope and happiness? So nothing can go wrong, right?

YOU THOUGHT WRONG!! YOUR DAY IS RUINED NOW! THE UNEXPECTED HAPPENED!

Someone's worst day can literally be on a sunny day. I have had bad days on days where the weather is nice! And then, some of my best days have been on rainy days!!

What if, what if and this is a stretch here, that Horikoshi was like "blue skies"? Wouldn't that be something! THAT THE CREATOR OF BNHA SAID BLUE SKIES?! (Not saying he did for sure...)

Like, again, because there has been so many blue sky scenes, I'm going out on a limb here... what if that's the point?! It doesn't always have to a bad weather day for bad times? The blue sky is just false hope? Hmm?

I don't know, maybe it's just me but the complaints about every single thing is annoying. Look, don't like what you seen in the trailer, alright then. Don't care, that's you.

It's just for the past couple of years or so, it seems there's something to complain about.

"They got the angle wrong here."

"Their shirt is actually blue in the manga."

"They're a little more than an inch apart in this scene actually."

Like things that don't actually matter!!

I get it if a scene got cut and it's an important scene to the plot.

But just lately, in any fandom, people find ANYTHING to complain about! Well, damn, I wasn't aware that the animators and other creative members of the team had to make sure every single thing was perfect like they're fucking robots and not humans who are working in stressful environments and on time crunches. I wasn't aware.

Some of you even complain when there's fucking breaks!! HOLIDAYS EXIST?! BAD WEATHER EXIST?! CRISISES EXIST?! PEOPLE GET SICK AND HURT?! FUCKING HELLO?!

Yes, I know BONES have made some disappointing decisions in the past, yadda yadda. But sometimes, I just think about "what if the animators had no control over that" and "I bet it's fucking hard to translate something off a paper to move with color and effects for a screen" and "I bet they were exhausted after this".

I'm just happy with a new season, but I also wish the creative team nothing but the best. Like, honestly, I just hope for anybody working at an animation studio to get the rest they so need.

And don't argue with me on this. It's just how I feel. You don't agree with me, fine. Don't care.

I just question if there's anything anybody in any fandom won't complain about and actually enjoy for once.

it's so interesting to me how much Alec seems to care about his family in retrospect when we've seen illustrated time and time again that he didn't seem to care about them (or at least his son) in the moment pretty much at all. i guess it's a "you don't know what you have until it's gone" type of thing?

hey, we finally got names!

well, that happened. once again, congrats to the AleRiya shippers. i probably still prefer them as friends for now, but i'm not opposed to them becoming a ship in the future. i doubt they will, since the writers seem to really like Connor and Riya and probably want that to be endgame, but i digress. it's really important to Alec's character, i think, that he was one of the only completely new characters created for s1, and was quite possibly crafted with an All Stars season in mind. thus, as much as Alec was created for Fiore in s1 (to help her have numbers and allies and stuff), he may have also been created for Riya in DCAS. i wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Alec's traits were crafted with this friendship and possibly even this plot beat in mind.

i... really don't understand Aiden's motivations here? like, what will happen if you tell the group "Alec and Riya kissed"? who would care other than Connor, who you already acknowledged would be crushed by the news? do you really think that Gabby or whoever would stop working with the villains under the knowledge that two legal adults smooched? is this about ruining Riya's reputation? the footage will certainly air on TV regardless of whether you tell anyone or not. am i just missing something? what game is Aiden playing at???

yay, fun superhero challenge! love a good themed episode. i do think the fact that like... five people could have had immunity in this one was kind of weird, but, eh. as it turns out, Grett and Gabby could have won immunity as well as Aiden and Jake and it would have changed literally nothing about the outcome of this vote. it was really just about Yul (and kind of Connor, i guess).

i do wonder if Yul's elimination will essentially spell the end of the "heroes versus villains" portion of the game, and the gameplay will shift to being more individually focused. we do kinda have four groups of two at the moment-- Gabby and Grett, Alec and Riya, Aiden and Jake, and... Connor and Ally, I guess? that could make for some interesting votes.

have you seen the trailer for the new movie????? usually, I'm indifferent to the bnha movies (except two heroes, i love you two heroes) but the ending of the trailer made me gasp because this plot sounds so ridiculously insane. Any theories or ideas for That new character ??

I feel u-- I'm gen not too interested in mha movies bc the main reason I like MHA is due to the villain characters + their dynamics with the heroes, and the movie villains never manage to deliver on that front. So this movie stands out bc I think Izuku fighting the world's most toxic All Might Kinnie coming right off of the Dark Hero arc (where he was almost crushed trying to emulate All Might and carry the burden of OFA all by himself) has the potential to be pretty interesting!

I don't really have any theories at this time, but I'm hoping the movie will also include real!Toshi since it's basically about another one of his fanboys going well and truly off the deep end lol.

tbh i'm fine with them milking the mha movies as long as they give Toshi a new flavor of unhinged boyfriend Every Single Time.

I just dreamt that someone made this AMAZING animated pv trailer for a tddkbk movie except we wouldn't know them because i think bnha didn't exist in my dream and the trailer was like something about tddk being in a relationship and then bkg being the new addition and i think there were some problems as to why bkg couldn't join them and there was this scene of them going through some 'could-have-been' memories because of some quirk or magic and it was all three of them just in a bath and it was very cute but deku who was viewing that false memory was very grief-stricken because bakugou wasn't with them in reality

And there was also this scene of like bakugou telling his parents about this but here his parents were mic and aizawa and they were like in their 40s or sth had this vibe of the old ones whod seen a lot and knew about the world a lot and are probably like older than they seem in a magic way and the soundtrack was fucking amazing and there was also this scene of bakugou running to one side and tddk running from the other side and then going through these mystical alleys which seemed to be an amalgamation of things that would happen throughout the movie and then meeting at a small bridge over a river

May I be honest without getting flamed?

I'm watching PlayFrame's Kingdom Hearts playthrough. I'd only watched and learned the lore through Dream Drop Distance, same as him--after that, everything has been a relatively new, spoiler-free (or forgotten) experience. I'm now near the end of his episodes on KH3 (somewhere around, "Dan Be Not Proud (Mode.)")

I've been a little distraught over the last few 😅 quite near to tears, if I'm honest.

Dgmw--I've loved it, and my only complaint up to this point was the writing, heavy with unmanaged & retconned plot-threads.

But I'm just having an emotional reaction to Sora's "death." I think I started really falling apart when he got to the Final World. He's okay, of course--cheerful as ever--but I'm not XD I'm wracked with a sinking, fenly madness.

The reunion-heavy ending was beautiful--more than what most of us could ask for, and leagues beyond what most of us get in a fandom. It's everything I wanted and needed. This peace and light where everyone is safe and together. It's right, not wrong, not immature, not weak. It is good, and correct.

I love this kid dearly and it all breaks my mind that he's not with everyone, that that narrative imperfection flips the bird at his own words to Chirithy, even if it's meant to be resolved.

And it's weird that Dan, himself, mentioned Square Enix/Final Fantasy taking the direction of realism in its animation while KH has remained stylized & toony (to its advantage), and here we are (well, 2 years in, new to me) with a KH4 trailer that kinda... imo... makes Sora look like a (female) Kamen Rider cosplayer XD Who is this serious, somber stranger with sad hair and no islander tan? Is this still a Disney property or did Ishimori inherit it? Also nothing feels like KH (Donald & Goofy felt like they were part of a separate trailer for a different franchise. That isn't unfamiliar in KH, but there's just something that feels like it'll be Wrong and Missing and Cynical about this new story... looks aren't everything, but they're also not Nothing, when you're telling a visual story.)

It's an "afterlife" in a concrete jungle and he's in this strange place with this new person (who is apparently an old person) and he's cut-off from his home and family and everyone's probably going to get scattered again and who knows if they'll remain safe (thanks, Sora's sacrifice) and true resolution will continue to be pushed behind yet more cliffhangers that tell you to wait for & play the next game and another entire year has passed and Kairi's been asleep for it and what if Disney/the creators want to spin this story forever until it dies horribly instead of giving it a happy ending and what if they never get to party together again and I'm just... how dare they inflict mortality onto Sora Kingdom Hearts???

Best-case scenario: they pull a Doctor Who Christmas Special: The Time of the Doctor in which everyone else pulls together to save him and it's not just a one-way street.

I've half a mind to start pulling my Endgame tag and my BNHA Meta tag for this roller coaster; I'm not even playing.

long version: so there I was, minding my own business, watching the trailer for BnHA season 6, as one does. when out of nowhere, YouTube's algorithm decided to be all "OH? THIS PERSON LIKES MY HERO ACADEMIA? BOY DO I HAVE A RECOMMENDATION FOR THEM." next thing I know, I'm scrolling through my YT home page and ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE'S A DETAILED PICTURE OF MY SON'S MANGLED BLOODY CORPSE, RIGHT NEXT TO AN ALL-CAPS DESCRIPTION READING -- I SHIT YOU NOT -- "BAKUGOU REALLY JUST DIED!!! THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!"

seriously though. that is word-for-word verbatim what it said. the internet literally got right up in my face and said "OHOHO!! LOOKS LIKE SOMEBODY FORGOT TO DELETE LITERALLY ONE SINGLE MHA-RELATED VIDEO FROM THEIR WATCH HISTORY! TIME TO DESTROY HALF A YEAR'S WORTH OF PAINSTAKINGLY DILIGENT SPOILER AVOIDANCE IN ONE EARTH-SHATTERING BLOW!" and just like that, my miraculous fate-tempting seven month spoiler-free streak came to an end. the sequel to blah blah SIXQUIRKS. something something BAKUGOU DIED. JUST THOUGHT WE'D SHARE THAT LITTLE UPDATE WITH YOU. HAVE A GOOD ONE, AND DRIVE SAFE!

so naturally my first reaction was basically just. looooooool :) :) :) what the fuck.

here I am. a working mom. who left her seventeen-year-old fictional son in the care of a 36-year-old Japanese man for the better part of a year because HE SAID he would take good care of him. Jump Festa 2022!! quote unquote!! "I’ve said this to Okamoto [Nobuhiko]-kun in LINE, but Katsuki will be having his greatest scene in the manga in future developments. I hope people who like Katsuki and hate Katsuki will look forward to it." bruh. we have the receipts right here! "greatest scene," he said! oh, goody, I said! something to look forward to when I finally have the time to catch up! "yes," Horikoshi smiles evilly. "something to look forward to, indeed." this fucking guy. can you even believe.

and just to be clear, when I say that I was otherwise 100% not-spoiled up until this point, I mean it. one hundred percent. I had absolutely ZERO knowledge of anything past chapter 339. the last I saw of Bakugou, he was hanging out with the rest his class showing off his cool new moves to Deku and being blindsided by Aoyama's betrayal and stuff. then bam. seven months later, fate mails me a postcard of him lying on the ground with a bloody hole in his chest. like WOW, OKAY. ZERO CHILL. OF COURSE THIS WOULD HAPPEN THE ONE TIME I DECIDE TO GO ON HIATUS FOR TWO HUNDRED DAYS, SMDH.

anyway so that's my story.

3. "so exactly how spoiled are you?"

lol I'm not even sure. I guess my best answer would be, "SOMEWHAT?"

or, if you don't mind reading more words, I can tell you exactly how spoiled I am by summarizing the Things That I Do Know in a bullet list.

THINGS THAT I KNOW

all of this apparently takes place between chapters 359 and 362, with 362 being the big "oh he DEAD dead" chapter. I think. based on all the fics that have since cropped up on AO3 with ominous chapter 362 spoiler tags.

I am pretty sure Bakugou was fighting either Tomura or AFO when it happened.

I have this vague idea that somehow his heart exploded or something?? like I don't really know the details, but that's what I've been able to glean.

apparently Jeanist and Edgeshot were involved in some sort of effort to save him?? but apparently that didn't work out too well I guess. OR DID IT? I actually do not know.

I have the vague impression Edgeshot may have also died, somehow, as a result of those heroic efforts. OR DID HE? again, I actually do not know at all. this is basically the knowledge equivalent of me overhearing half of a phone conversation between two people who were trying to recollect half of a phone conversation that they in turn overheard, several months earlier.

lastly, I know that Bakugou was apparently carrying around his All Might trading card from waaaay back in his chapter 118 flashbacks, in his pocket or something. because he's a giant fanboy nerd. who wanted All Might to sign it. but was too shy to ask I guess. "WHO COULD HAVE SEEN THIS SENSITIVE SIDE OF HIM COMING?? BAKUGOU CARES ABOUT THINGS??? HE REALLY DID LOOK UP TO ALL MIGHT JUST AS MUCH AS DEKU THE ENTIRE TIME??? WHAT A DEVASTATING REVEAL?!?" is how we were supposed to react to this, I'm guessing, lol. but I'll have you know that SOME of us have already written approximately 1200 essays on how much of a secretly sensitive All Might weeb Bakugou is, and so WERE ACTUALLY NOT SURPRISED AT ALL! yeah that's right! TAKE THAT HORIKOSHI. TRYING TO CATCH ME OFF GUARD AND MAKE ME CRY. WELL YOU WASTED YOUR GODDAMN TIME, because I would have cried anyway! and I did cry! and I will cry again!

anyway so yeah. and I think the card got blown up and/or otherwise destroyed somehow, just to add insult to injury. which, don't tell anyone, but between you and me, I'm not sure what he expected. "let me just take my precious limited edition All Might trading card, my most prized possession, along with me into the intense final battle with the final villain. for good luck or whatever. there's no way this could possibly end badly." did he even bother to put it in a zipper pocket. wtf were you thinking Katsuki. again I do not actually have the slightest idea since I have not actually read this chapter lol.

anyway! so that's everything I know! and let me just add to that a quick summary of things which I in turn do NOT know, the short version of which is: Literally Everything Other Than What I Just Typed Above. including but not limited to:

whether Bakugou actually was fighting Tomura, or AFO, or both. ??

who was fighting with him (except that for some reason or another Deku wasn't there, because I guess he fucked off to go do something else?? you and I fell into the exact same trap there, Deku. "surely Kacchan will be fine and dandy for the next five minutes or hours or days or however long while I go take care of this Other Important Business." yeah, you would think so, wouldn't you? BUT WE LEARNED OUR LESSON, DIDN'T WE.)

what Deku’s reaction was (but I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say: PISSED)

literally anything else about the context of this fight, including where, when, and why it took place.

literally everything else that has happened in the manga since chapter 339. for real you guys. I just have to stress again how utterly out of the blue this was for me. to read this spoiler completely without context. WHAT HAVE THESE CHILDREN BEEN DOING FOR THE PAST NINE MONTHS. I'm terrified to learn the answers lol.

anyways but moving on now to the most important section of this post, starting with the one question which I think is by far the most pressing and important, and which I can thankfully answer with a single sentence.

4. "so... do you think he actually is dead?"

no lol.

but since you insist, here is my list of Reasons Why I Don't Think Bakugou Is Actually Dead, based on my nonexistent knowledge of the events of the past 40 chapters, and the actual context and details of his death. and I guarantee there is not a single point here which has not already been discussed to death on thousands of other blogs, but dammit I've been stuck without an outlet for all these thoughts since August, so the hell with it:

so for starters, in my experience, characters whose older selves narrate the story From The Future ("in that moment, there were no thoughts in my head... my body just moved on its own") tend to be pretty immune from dying, overall. just throwing that out there.

from day one, the series has made it very clear that this is the story of how Izuku becomes "the greatest hero" (more recently retconned/updated to become a pluralized "this is the story of how we ALL became the greatest heroes").

also from day one, Katsuki's narrative arc has been set up as a (first contrasting, and then later evolving to be more complementary) parallel to Izuku's, down to them having the same goal.

as the series has progressed, that concept of "becoming the greatest hero" has been further defined as "becoming a hero who always wins no matter what, and always saves everyone no matter what."

Katsuki in particular has expanded on this idea to emphasize that the greatest heroes are the ones who save EVERYONE, no matter what. "I made a pledge! I will achieve absolute victory, every time! we're taking this 4-0, no casualties! the strong don't settle for anything less!" and more recently, "because to live up to those ideals and surpass All Might... we gotta save you, the civilians at U.A., and the people on the streets. because saving people is how we win."

therefore, any victory in which either Katsuki or Izuku dies in order to defeat AFO is not a perfect victory, and will not result in them becoming the greatest heroes.

this is also a flagship Shounen Jump manga and the spiritual successor to the Big Three, meaning this would basically be the equivalent of killing off Sasuke or Zoro or Rukia. a.k.a. not gonna happen ever lol.

on top of that, it's also Horikoshi's tribute to Western comics, particularly those produced by Marvel, a.k.a. the guys who practically invented the No One Ever Stays Dead trope.

and last (actually not last but this really is getting too long) but not least, the number one reason why Katsuki cannot and will not actually die: because AFO does not get to win. seriously. he just doesn't. he got to kill All Might's important person and be all smug and cruel about it. he killed Nana's family and was all smug and cruel about it. he's tormented generations of heroes by deliberately targeting the people they love most. and so even without me knowing the actual context or circumstances of Katsuki's supposed "death", I have no doubt that's why it happened, because that's what AFO does. and that's who Deku loves. and so of course AFO would try it, yet again. that's his fucking modus operandi

but, because he is the final villain, we know he is going to lose in the end. and so this, imo, is the biggest and simplest reason why Katsuki isn't dead: because if he is actually dead, then AFO wins. even if he himself dies in the end. he gets to go down knowing that he took a part of the hero with him. he gets to hold on to that one last triumph. even though he loses, he keeps the hero from winning and saving, and he gets to savor that.

so, since we know that he's NOT going to win, because this is a "good guys win" type of story and not an "evil prevails, sorry, it's called REAL LIFE, bitches, enjoy your tears" type of story, that means that Katsuki is not actually dead. or will not stay dead. either way. period.

anyway so yeah! that's basically the gist, though by no means are these all of my comprehensive thoughts, and I can safely promise you many more rants to come, especially as I prepare to take on the challenge of reading through 39 new BnHA chapters with the foreknowledge of my son's untimely not-death looming in the back of my mind the whole time! looking forward to that! both ironically and unironically! should be interesting to say the least lol.

BNHA Meta: The State of Europe

Mild spoilers for the 3rd movie. 

Coming at you all live from a hotspot because the NBN broke - lets talk about Europe. Our movie is set primarily in Otheon - a fictional european country. As the characters within it are seen using what are basically Euros, we can assume this country is part of the European Union, nice to know that still exists. 

Otheon takes its name from Oseon, a star system in (wait for it -) Star Wars. This area is known for it’s wealthy inhabitants and tourism. Otheon in the movie seems to take it’s visual cues from mediteranian countries, espeically the greek island of Symi (i’d show you screenhots from the movie but i can’t find any in the trailers to save my life.)

The wiki claims Otheon is an (currently nonexistant) island north of Spain and west of France - real map of Europe and one from a trailer I can not locate myself pictured here. Personally, I swear the it was on the coninent propper? But I may be mistake, I was distracted by how good the movie was. 

Anyway - Otheon borders another country mentioned and visited in the movie (however briefly) - Klayd, name taken from the planet Crait, also from Star Wars, which is an outer rim planet with nothing much going on, that sees a major battle with the rebels. The head of police in Otheon was unable to mobilize any force to aprehend our Heroes once they entered Klayd, meaning the country likely isn’t a member of the European Union, or Europol no longer really exists in any capacity. I’m basically seeing Otheon as fictional Greece, and Klayd as fictional Turkey - pictured below - Turkey, looking a lot like what we see of Klayd. 

If these two countries are located on this small island, it’s impossible for them to have risen from the sea and developed a layer of soil and vegetation in anywhere close to 200 years, meaning either the island was man made - unlikely, seeing the man made I-Isand seen in the first movie looks much more modern and is much smaller - or was always there, and this is a way in which BNHA’s world differs from ours on a larger scale. Seeing as it took at a very minimum of 10 hours travel to reach the other country, this island either has terrible, terrible infastructure or - 

Otheon is not that island - meaning that during the 200 years since the begining of quirks, a european country has either colapsed, had an uprising, or splintered into multiple new countries, which is a fun event you could play around with in fanfiction - I am again suggesting the area around Greece and Turkey. 

The final country we see in the movie is, very conspicuously, unnamed. It was to the north of europe, somewhere off Britan and I’m assuming it was Ireland, especially as the base matches this area quite nicely. 

Oddly, there was no border between Ireland and Nothern Ireland which was likely just an oversight, but I’m chosing to believe Ireland reunified, with Northern Ireland finally splitting from the UK.

Also - unrelated to our fictional countries and unpictured on that map, the place Humarise put the bomb in Australia was hilarious and stupid. It was north west of Perth. There is nothing there. I’m sorry to the 4 quirked kangaroos who would have lost their lives - my heart goes out to those effected.

you scoffed, dropping your bags and hastily wrapping your hands around his ankles before aggressively tugging on them, “move it! you’re stupid fucking face looks comfy!”

he froze, staring at you with wide eyes but you continued to pull at his legs as you had yet to process what you just said as you meant in more as trash-talk rather in a sexual way. 

suddenly, he flipped his position so he way now laying down on his back, his head resting on the seat you were trying to obtain as he stared up at you with starry eyes, “sit, then!”

anyway, the movie had yet to begin but most who were seated remained silent as they watched the trailers. he glanced at you before shifting his gaze onto all the rows of seats in front of y’all, “where do ya want to sit?” he mumbled, casually popping a piece of popcorn into his mouth. 

he simply asked just in case you had a preferred location or an eye-sight problem that he was unaware of so you almost made him choke on his corn when you replied with a click of your tongue, “your face.”

once he coughed up the kernel lodged in this esophagus, he turned to shoot you a deadly glare, “what the fuck?!” 

afraid that you might have made him uncomfortable, you threw you hands up in defence and hastily tried to change the subject before he created a scene in the middle of the silent theatre, “sorry! i just meant it as a joke- erm, sitting at the back would be nic--”

before you could finish, bakugo grabbed you by the collar and dragged you out of the room, towards the cinema bathroom and..you know what happens next.

you hummed in thought for a moment before it hit you. you peered at his with an eyebrow quirked, mentally questioning if you were remembering it correctly. “um, yes.”

Long post I guess because I started typing and couldn't shut the fuck up I guess.

TL;DR Honestly, I'm sad, and I'm tired, and I'm frustrated.

I've been a fan of RoosterTeeth since my friend Mark put me on to RvB in like... 2005? I've been a fan of AH since Michael's Impossible Game RageQuit in... 2011??? RT First was the first subscription service I've ever paid for- before my PS+, before fucking anything- the second I got my credit card in 2013. I've been a RWBY fan from when the Red Trailer first aired at the end of RvB season 10 in 2012. I've been a RT/AH fan for most of my fucking life

I've referred to Kdin as "fugz" because I just thought that was her screenname at the time. Finding out what that name meant to her at the time genuinely makes me want to vomit.

I'm still processing. Shit is still coming out. The fan is still being assaulted, let alone hit.

I remember getting into RT almost two decades ago because they were just a small indie company making silly videogame videos and they genuinely felt like a family. And I know that's fucking silly to think but I was in middle school and impressionable and that was genuinely the image that they put to the public, so why wouldn't I want to believe it? I remember watching RT expand and grow and the RvB crew get even bigger and not just being voices making Halo characters move anymore but faces playing games together. I remember Gavin, Michael and Ray get involved. I donated for LazerTeam. I've watched hundreds of streams. I've watched probably thousands of hours of RT/AH content in my life.

I thought the stuff Micah spoke about would be the worsts things got, but now we're getting everything Kdin's talking about and it's so fucking upsetting and disheartening. And I'm glad she still thinks the CRWBY are good people but like... at this point does it even matter?

I've known RT/AH have been circling the drain for a while now. It's been really fucking obvious to me at least, and I'm p sure I've made a bunch of comments about it over the years. Everything I love about RT has been in a downward spiral. Michael hasn't done RageQuit in years. Gavin and Michael don't do PlayPals anymore. RvB had two abysmal seasons back to back, gen:LOCK season 2 was such an obvious attempt to put a bad taste in everyone's mouth so we'd stop talking about the show so they could cancel it without anyone missing it. RWBY shot the goodwill it'd gathered for having a solid 2 seasons in 6 and 7 (after having an absolutely garbage seasons 4 and 5) in the back of the head with Penny and Ironwood's entire characterization. I'm not at all excited about this stupid JL/RWBY crossover, and I don't think it's gonna make enough money or new RWBY fans to even break even, let alone make much of a profit. WB just dissolved fucking Cartoon Network Studios there's no fucking shot RT survive this.

As far as RWBY goes... I don't know. And at this point, I'm finding it hard to care. RWBY's been one of my favorite shows for a really long time but I kinda just wanna tear away from it so I don't have to deal with the pain of it eventually getting cancelled. I think over 90% of my current friend groups I've made because of RT/AH content. Some of my best and oldest friends I've met because or RWBY or RvB or what have you. I'm glad after all this time I finally got to go to an RTX and meet my friends and cosplay and enjoy myself. But right now... kinda wishing I wasn't an RT fan. Kinda wanting to cancel my First subscription. Kinda wanting to just be done with RWBY and everything else.

The world began to know its doom with the emergence of the deadly virus, and after it was discovered that genetically the virus was similar to the quirk genes, chaos ensued: the quirks became uncontrollable, many heroes caused a variety of accidents during rescue missions, and the Japanese government decided to set up camps where people with quirks would be kept under close surveillance, generating panic and terror.

Izuku Midoriya never expected, however, to be able to escape, and to come to trust the lesser people he knew.

He will have to ally himself with them in order to succeed in finding freedom, and to be reunited with his loved ones.

This is the plot of my bnha au, inspired from the books and the movie of Darkest Minds.

Basically: quirks are out of control, and people with quirks are held prisoners and treated horribly by the government.

Deku receive help by someone who he thought he could trust, but when he found out something terrible about the people who saved him, he escape and will begin a new journey with... Someone we know very well ;)
